6 weeks old and smiling all the time!!!

It is hard to believe that Connor is 6 weeks old already. Within the last week he has really started to smile. When you talk to him he will smile and it is so sweet. He is the happiest in the morning and will smile at anything. He is so much more alert also. He will follow people as they walk around the room, especially James. He loves to look at our stripe curtains and his mobile. He seems to just get sweeter by the day, just like his big brother.

This is an attempt to get Connor smiling on video. He does smile a little toward the end of the video but it isn't one of his huge smiles. I will keep trying but I hope that you enjoy this little smile! It always brightens my day.

James' Artwork

James has loved to do art since the first time he touched paint. His new thing now is drawing on his dry erase board. It is nice I don't have to drag out all the paper, paint, glue, glitter, etc. but I also don't get to keep his pictures. As anyone knows that has been around James in the last 4 months, he LOVES space and everything that goes along with it. So, he wanted me to draw a rocket and Jupiter the other day and he added the "satellite, space station, comets, and stars". While they really don't look like those things he worked so hard and told me all about them. I was so shocked to hear all the things he really knew about space and wish that I would have gotten his explanation on tape and his picture on paper!!

The big 3-0!

I'm officially 30! James was so excited about my birthday that I can't even begin to imagine how he is going to be on his own birthday! He blew out my candles and opened all my presents.

5 weeks old

Connor is growing like crazy!!! He is about 10 pounds and starting to be awake more throughout the day. He is still sleeping 6-7 hours a night which is great!!!

It is hard to believe that Connor will be 4 weeks old tomorrow. He is growing so fast and starting to be awake more. We went to the dr. last week and he weighed 9 pounds already! He is so much more alert and will turn his head when you talk to him to look at you. He loves looking at James and will try to find him as James runs all over the room. James thinks that it is funny to say something to him on one side of him and then hurry and move to the other side as soon as he turns his head. Connor is still sleeping great, 5-6 hours at night! I hope that he keeps it up!

James loved the snow!!! He played outside and finally decided that he needed to come in after about 45 minutes. He loved stomping in the snow and putting his face in it. He even did a little shoveling with his daddy.

Connor finally got to take a real bath last week. He only cried for a few seconds and then just sat there. Every bath since then he has just sat there and looked at me while I give him a bath.
