Finally some pictures!

As the drywall dust settles around my house I thought I would take a minute to START updating the blog. I'm so sad that I have let the time pass and not posted pictures. Connor has grown like a sweet little weed in front of my very eyes and James continues to be a very funny and energetic little boy. He is sleeping in his "rocket", which is his closet with all of his pillows, blankets, and animals all around him, as I do this. If he could only keep his imagination forever!! Below are a few odds and end pictured from July until last month. I still have a ton to share and promise I will as soon as I get around to it.
The big move has worn all of us out but we are enjoying our new home. The house itself is moving right along. The basement is being primed right now and Chad and I will be painting away this weekend. Our countertop, and more importantly, our sink and dishwasher will be in by Tuesday!!! YAY!!!! So, we are ready for visitors!!
Hope that all of you are well!!

Hotty Toddy!!

These are from JULY!!!

Sweet Connor!

Sorry, No Pictures!!

I'm sad to say that between James and I, my camera is broken. I have all kinds of adorable pictures to upload and my camera won't let me. So, I'm hoping to get a new camera ASAP so that I can put some new pictures up soon.

We have a contract on our house and are in the final stages of buying the new house so we are busy getting everything ready to move. We are hoping to move the first couple weeks of October!!

Here is a quick update on the boys. James is still into space and has decided to be Jim Lovell for Halloween. He has been helping me pack and go through things. He doesn't want to get rid of anything!! He is ready for fall so he can go pumpkin picking. He loves Connor and wants to play with him all the time. Connor is scooting all over the house. I'm not sure that he is ever going to crawl because he is one fast scooter. James loves to run ahead of him and cheer for him as he scoots. Connor says Dada and Momma and jabbers all the time. James swears he knows what he is saying and talks back to him in jibberish. Connor has decided that he no longer wants babyfood. He wants whatever we are having and he only wants to eat off of a fork! James has found out that Connor will eat anything. Last night I made some cooked spinach to go with dinner and James declared before ever tasting it that he didn't like it. As Chad and I were getting our plates we turned around to see James feeding Connor his spinach. Connor was of course eating it right up and opening his mouth for the next bite. James was so proud of himself!! They are both doing well and growing up too fast!

I promise to add pictures soon. Hope that everyone is well!!

Connor learned to clap!

James is a swimmer!!

Side Note** Chad does not usually wear goggles to swim. He would go under water so that James would stay horizontal in the water. He probably won't appreciate me putting him in goggles online for all the world to see! :)

Favorite time of the day

James is so excited that Connor is big enough to take a bath with him. Connor loves it too!!

Typical Day

I took this picture today to document yet another thing that James turns into a rocket. He pulled a chair over to the counter to show Connor all his rockets that he made out of markers. I got the markers out so he could draw but he didn't make a single mark.

Homerun Derby

Chad was lucky enough to be given 2 tickets to the Homerun Derby in STL this week. He and James had a good time. James got a new mini bat. Just what he needs, something else to swing around the house!!

Even James wondered why.....

The little town that we live in is on Route 66. People drive through all the time and take pictures next to this old gas station in town. We have often marveled at the amount of people that stop Anyway, we were driving down a different stretch of 66 in Missouri and stumbled upon this, "The World's Largest Rocking Chair". Well, we had to stop. Why did they build this thing was all James had to say about it. I wonder the same thing. It was a big rocking chair.....

6th months old

I can't believe my baby is 6th months old! Where has the time gone?!?! He is still so sweet and loving! He is rocking forward while sitting and trying to get moving. He loves James and tolerates him more than I could have ever hoped. I look at both of them all the time and I am so thankful that they are healthy and growing but secretly wish that I could press the slow motion button and let them be this age for a little longer. They are such a joy and blessing!

Connor swimming at Maw Maw and Paw Paw's

Connor loved floating in the pool. He thought that the kids swimming were funny but wasn't too sure about being splashed. As a side note, if you have this floaty thing that Connor is in it has been recalled. :)

My best attempts at a 4th of July picture

Messy Messy Messy

Connor is eating food now and he LOVES it!! He has been eating cereal for a few weeks and the doctor said to try green vegetables first. He tried peas and literally gagged! James thought it was hilarious! He has moved on to other vegetables and is getting ready to try fruit.

The last T Ball game

James had his last t ball game a few weeks ago. It was hot and he was ready to be done but he had a great time all season. After the last game all the kids got a trophy. James was so excited, until his coach passed out brownies!! He loves his trophy and told our neighbor that he got the trophy for being the best t baller! He is already practicing for next year!

A few more T ball pictures

Clear Lake

We went to Clear Lake to visit Chad's parents the end of June and James wanted to go fishing so bad. We later found out that he should have said that he wanted to play with the fishing worms. No fish were caught and we don't think any worms were harmed.

Tball

Here are a couple of pictures from James playing Tball. I have some more on my camera and will get them off and updated soon. As you can tell from the picture with his teammates shaking hands, he is the smallest on his team. He has had a great time playing and has provided everyone around with some quality entertainment!

Connor's 1st bike ride!

We put both boys in the trailer last week and went for a bike ride. We made Connor wear a helmet too but we couldn't see his face in the picture. Connor was asleep after about 5 minutes and James talked the whole time! It was something fun to do to kill an evening.

The 3 amigos!

Watch out girls!

We went over to Belle and Ava's house to play a few weeks ago so I had to get some pictures of the boys with the girls!

Take me out to the ballgame!

We went to the Cards vs Cubs game a few weeks ago. It was a beautiful night, not hot, we had great seats, Pujols hit a homerun and James actually saw it, and the Cards won!

Rain, rain, and more rain!

It seemed like it was never going to stop raining 2 weeks ago. James went out everyday and jumped in puddles and played in the rain. It was so fun to watch him! We should have been out in the rain more because since it has stopped raining it has been HOT!!!

Sitting up!

This picture was taken the day before Connor turned 5 months old. (Almost a month ago!) He has been sitting up for a little over a month and that is the only way he wants to be put down. If you lay in down and try and get him to roll over he gets mad. Connor rolls from his tummy to his back all the time but has only rolled from his back to his tummy 5 times!! So, we will keep working on rolling while sitting up!!

Still a golfer

James has been busy playing golf this summer. He LOVES it and asks to go play almost everyday.

4 months old

Connor turned four months old last week and I just can't believe that he is four months old already. Connor continues to be the sweetest baby ever, I know I'm a little biased! He has found his tongue and is funny when he sticks it out! He has also found feet and plays with them all the time and is trying to use them to roll over. He went to the doctor on Monday and weighs 13.5 pounds, which is exactly how much James weighed when he was 4 months old. He still smiles all the time and is laughing out loud but you have to work pretty hard to get a giggle. He loves watching James!! James went to the doctor on Monday as well for his 3 year check up and weighs 28 pounds. The doctor said that neither of the boys are breaking any weigh gain records but they are both healthy and happy. That was all I needed to hear! What a blessing, two happy, healthy, and entertaining boys!!
